Jamie and Joy love nothing more that to share the story of Chosen Ranch. Jamie has traveled throughout country, sharing stories about his career as a Michigan State Police Trooper, as well as stories about the ranch and the adventures had there. If you are looking for someone to speak at your next event, or to come share with your organization or congregation, simply send us an email and we will get it on the schedule. Credentials
1992-1998
United States Army
Jamie served four years as an active duty soldier right out of high school. He graduated from the U.S. Army Intelligence School and served at the NSA before moving to Hawaii where he finished his tour.
2000-Current
Michigan State Police
Jamie joined the Michigan State Police in 2000, graduating from the 119th Trooper Recruit School. He served for six years at the Manistee Post before transferring to the Alpena Post. While at the Alpena Post, he served as a Canine Handler for almost ten years. He then spent almost a year as an instructor at the MSP Training Academy as a staff instructor for the 136th Recruit School. He promoted to Sergeant in 2020 and currently serves as a Road Sergeant at the West Branch Post.
2013-Current
The Chosen Ranch
In 2013, Jamie and Joy, along with Frank and Virginia Dimercurio, founded the Chosen Ranch. Jamie spent the first five years of the Ranch ministry running the youth group, leading the summer and backpacking programs, and working in community outreach. In 2018 Jamie and Joy moved into the Ranch home where they have remained as house parents, raising seven boys.
